These are pictures of some of my friends cars that I built and painted.
Look for them at car shows and cruise-ins. They drive these beauties to car shows locally and to out of state events such
as "Run to the Sun" in Myrtle Beach and NSRA EAST in York, PA each year. Just put cursor over picture for info and click
on to enlarge for viewing. Use your back button to view another.
These Photos are of a 1936 Chevy I built for long time friend, Dr. Wright Pond. His bother, Lennie Pond, drove one years
ago when he first started in Stock Car Racing. Of course, the one he drove didn't have all the goodies this one has. Things
like PS, PB, Vintage Air/Heat Combo and more. Anyway this one is a real head turner. The body has been sectioned and
channeled over the frame. It has a Nova front clip and rear. The Engine is a GM 350 HP with Vortex heads. The hood was
specially made of fiberglass using a 39 Ford Hood for a pattern and adding additional length so that it would fit this little
honey of a car. It has crash bars in front and on the sides, so watch out when you are around it. It has 15"X10" wide chrome
wheels and 295/50/15 BFG Radial T/A tires. These big wide tread tires should make it not only stick to the road, but ride
like a stock car. Wait until you see this "Hot Rod" coming down the road. It looks low and bad with the number 1VA on the doors! Watch for it
at the next show you attend. It was first shown at the "Run to the Sun" in Myrtle Beach, SC, on March 16. If you missed this
show, you missed one of the Best on the East Coast.

Photo of Car taken just after it won the
"Humpy Wheeler Pick" on Sunday October 29, 2006.
Boy, this was a weekend to behold.
It started out with heavy rain on Friday and turned cold. Saturday it was cold and windy, but all had a good time. There were
over 3,000 vehicles at the track event with the bad weather. On Sunday the weather was better, but still chilly. Just before the awards
were to begin, Humpy Wheeler approached Larry Balch, the builder of this car and asked to see it. Larry told him
all about the car. That it belonged to Wright & Cindy Pond of Colonial Heights, VA. Humpy set in the car and asked Larry if he knew who was. "Of Course," Larry said. "You are Mr. Wheeler, the
track owner." Humpy went on to tell Larry how much he liked the car and that he had just had one built. He said he
use to drive one years ago. Anyway, the car was picked as the "Humpy Wheeler Pick." He told Larry to get it over to
the winners circle quick, as the awards were going to start.
Boy, what a weekend for club member Larry Balch! Bet he won't forget this one for awhile.

And "Just take a look at it!"
These are photos of my friends Tom & Cynithia Smith's '37 Chevy Convertible Street Rod. It's a real beauty.
